Description: A biennial shrub of the Asteraceae family. In the first year, it forms a crown composed of 2 to 3 long, lanceolate leaves, and in the second year, it produces a stem 20 to 100 centimeters long with few leaves and umbrellas of small white flowers

Location: At altitudes of 3,000 meters in the Lalehzar Mountains of Balochistan

Harvest Time: July and June of the second year

Parts Used: Fruit (small and dark)

Temperature: Warm and dry

Active ingredients: resin, tannin, volatile oil, fixed oil, mucilage, calcium oxalate, coloring agents

Properties and usage:

Food: Brewed one teaspoon daily 2 to 3 cups before exercise and lunch and dinner: carminative, menstrual stimulant, increases thyroid function, slimming, reduces spermatogenesis (sperm production), useful for anemia, antiparasitic of the stomach and intestines, strong disinfectant, strengthens the stomach

Seasoning: cumin on rice (cumin), spices

Caution: Excessive consumption causes yellowing of the face, palpitations, insomnia, reduced sperm, excessive weight loss, heat, increased thyroid function
