Effective ingredients and function: The antioxidant activity of the plant is probably caused by polyphenolic compounds such as flavonoids, chlorogenic acid, phenylpropanoids, caffeic acid and caffeic acid – D. kotschyi essential oil contains flavonoids that have antimicrobial properties. It also has cytotoxic, antiproliferative and apoptotic effects on cancer cells, while α-terpineol and limonene have analgesic properties. Anticancer effects are caused by methoxylated flavones such as luteolin, isokampferide, apigenin, chrysimaretin, pendulatin and xanthomicol – Apigenin is an effective factor for inducing apoptosis through the intrinsic or extrinsic pathway in human cancer cells – Luteolin includes antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities
